Are you studying Travel & Hospitality and looking for an internship that focuses on guest contact, service, and advice? At De Veluwe Specialist, you will learn how to professionally welcome, inform, and guide guests during their day out in the Veluwe. You will be fully involved in the practical side of things and learn how hospitality and organization come together.

  You work with (international) guests on a daily basis.
  You advise on routes, activities, and places of interest.
  You will learn to work in a service-oriented manner in a tourist environment.

About the Veluwe Specialist

De Veluwe Specialist is part of SOS Events and organizes active outings in the Veluwe for individuals and companies from multiple locations. From our locations in Otterlo and Garderen, we rent out vehicles with interactive routes, often combined with other activities.

We are often the first point of contact for guests. Personal advice, clear explanations, and a warm welcome make all the difference for us.

What will you do?

During your internship, you will have a lot of contact with guests. You will welcome them on site, answer questions, and explain our activities and means of transportation. You will advise them on routes and places of interest and help them on their way so that they can enjoy their outing without any worries.

You will also learn how to maintain an overview on location, respond to different requests, and collaborate with colleagues. With the help of a buddy and a digital induction program, you will quickly grow into your role. Do you show initiative and a sense of responsibility? Then you may be given additional tasks during your internship, for example as an (assistant) supervisor.

We offer

  • Internship allowance:
    16 & 17 years old: €300 gross per month
    18 years and older: €450 gross per month + travel expenses.
  • Learn in practice and theory through our online modules.
  • A fun two-day introduction with other interns, including activities such as climbing, an E-chopper tour, and an Escape Tour.
  • Good guidance and room to develop yourself within travel & hospitality.

  • That you are open to learning and take responsibility for your internship
  • That you are not afraid to ask questions
  • That you are available at least one weekend day per week
